Groundhog Day

Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow last Sunday, a predicting sign that spring will come early. However, his predictions are not always correct. The tradition reaches back to a Christian holiday called Candlemas Day that occurred between the winter solstice and spring Equinox. In Germany they began predicting with hedgehogs, but Phil has now been predicting for 130 years and he is only correct 40% of the time.
