For my digital toolbox final, I have chosen to take on the role of a travel agent or agency and approach the project from that angle. In particular, I have chosen to be a travel agent/agency focused on the country of Italy. The agency will be titled Italian Excursions and I will create a postcard, video advertisement, and travel blog to promote it. The postcard will be created using Adobe Photoshop, the video advertisement will be created on my phone using Adobe Premeire Rush, and the travel blog will be created on a separate WordPress site. I plan to use all the skills I learned in this class to create various cutouts and collage them in a way that reflects a fun take on promoting the travel agency. I then intend to combine a variety of videos from my travels in Italy and record audio over the full video within the rush platform. Finally, I plan to create a WordPress site featuring an enticing homepage, a blog page with several informational posts, and an about the company page explaining the blogs purpose with some pertinent contact information. I will upload the video and ad onto the site as well, bringing everything together. I plan for each aspect to compliment the next in order to create a cohesive final project.

I chose to focus on Italy specifically because I studied abroad in Florence, Italy during my spring semester of junior year and became enamored with the country. I had the opportunity to travel every weekend to different countries, but still the majority of my favorite places that I visited remained within Italy. I was fortunate enough to be able to delve into and explore all aspects of Italian life including culture, history, food, art, architecture, language, and fashion. With that knowledge and a large amount of photos and video clips, I had all the means necessary to create a cohesive project relating back to a topic that excites me. It also provides me with the opportunity to think back to and reflect on my amazing experiences and adventures, which definitely serves as a great distraction during this crazy time. All photos and videos used are mine, and all restaurants, bars, and attractions listed are real. 

I hope that this project demonstrates my understanding of concepts taught throughout the semester. COVID-19 caused an obvious interruption in our learning process and limited our access to several more appropriate softwares, but overall I feel as though the changes to the semester were not detrimental. They rather encourage problem-solving and creativity in a difficult time. I appreciated the lightheartedness of this project and the freedom to chose the theme and softwares we found most suitable. In the end, I feel as though I have a strong foundation set in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premeire, and WordPress in particular, and I would be confident using them again in the near future.
